Abstract
This study scrutinizes the relationship between social recognition and political resistance. The sense of humiliation that arises from disrespect has an influence on the political resistance. This emotion spreads to people with similar attributes. This cumulative feeling is latent in general, but it is vented at a specific moment. To sum up, the generation and dissemination of this emotion, and activating of actions by trigger factors is the process of collective resistance. This study analyzes the case of anti-impeachment rally of President Park, Geun-hye(‘Taegeukgi protest’) occurred between November 19, 2016 and March 10,
2017 in Korea. The main participant of this movement was the elderly who has been socially neglected. Their cumulative sense of humiliation was unified owing to the Candlelight protest for President impeachment, and the organizer of Taegeukgi protest and the Taegeukgi journalists strengthened the elderly people's moral convictions and made them participate in collective resistance.
