Abstract
A wideband printed fat dipole fed by a tapered microstrip balun is presented. This antenna has very wide bandwidth of 96% and little squint radiation patterns. The printed dipole with the ground plate attached microwave absorber provides stable radiation patterns versus across the entire impedance bandwidth. Thus, the antenna can be used in various wideband applications.
