Abstract

Wideband printed dipole antenna for multiple wireless services was discusses using a coax-fed printed fat dipole backed by a ground plate. The antenna parameters were investigated, and the effects of each parameter was described. Numerical and experimental results for a design which offered bandwidth results, that covered a range of frequency bands were presented. This antenna showed good voltage standing wave ratio, gain and useful radiation patterns over mobile communications 1800, personal communication service, international mobile telecommunication 2000 and industrial scientific and medical bands.
