Visual Fatigue from Stereoscopic Video

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

In this paper, we investigate various factors that are related to visual fatigue caused by stereoscopic images. In addition, we provide two visual fatigue prediction metrics for stereoscopic images and 2D-puls-depth video. The first metric detects impairments caused by inappropriate shooting parameters and camera misalignment from corresponding points of stereoscopic image. The next metric analyzes depth and motion characteristics for 2D-plus-depth video. The results can be applied to visual comfort enhancement.
