Abstract

Time-resolved spectroscopic experiments on ZnII porphyrins were carried out. Photoinduced vibrational coherent motions on the electronically ground and excited states of two ZnII porphyrins in toluene were studied impulsively using chirp-controlled femtosecond pulses; ZnIITPP, and ZnIIOEP which are representative porphyrin monomers (meso- versus β-substituted). In both porphyrins, it was observed that the S2 state dynamics are much different from each other.
