Abstract

Self-assembly of the π-complex (η4-benzoquinone)Mn(CO)3- (QMTC) with metal ions [Mn(II), Co(II), Zn(II)] generates neutral metal-organometallic coordination networks (MOMNs). The network architecture can be controlled by (1) a solvent-induced change in coordination geometry at the metal nodes and (2) the introduction of substituents on the benzoquinone ring.
