Abstract
This experiment aimed to develop an energy efficient and sustainable binder. The specimens were made using Hwangtoh, styrene butadiene latex (SBL), and shape stabilized phase change material (SSPCM) consisting of xGnP and n-octadecane. XRD analysis, mechanical performance analysis, FT-IR analysis, morphological analysis and dynamic heat transfer test were carried out. According to the compressive strength measurement, the addition of SBL increased compressive strength, and the addition of SSPCM decreased compressive strength. According to FT-IR analysis, the peak of n-octadecane and the intrinsic peak of Hwangtoh remained intact, indicating that they were physical bonds. As a result of the thermal performance analysis, as the peak temperature was decreased and the thermal sensitivity was decreased compared to the case where SSPCM was applied. The results of heat storage performance analysis indicated that the energy at the storage was improved and HLP7.5 was the most efficient in terms of energy saving and efficiency.
