abstract = "Two types of nuclear power plants have been constructed and operated in South Korea. The major operating plants are PWRs and the others are PHWRs. To reduce high-radiation exposure of human workers, several numbers of tele-operated robotic systems have been developed in South Korea and some of them carried out inspection tasks and remote handling works in the fields successfully. This paper introduces the tele-operated robotic systems for inspection and manipulation of nuclear power plants in South Korea and discusses about lessons learned.",
