Abstract

A discussion covers CO2 recovery from a newly constructed demo pilot plant with a 2 ton/day capacity; characteristics of the pilot plant, which was constructed near a 250 Mw LNG-based power plant; absorbents tested, e.g., MEA and blended absorbents containing primary, secondary, tertiary and sterically hindered amine; trends in the CO2 market; and economic aspects. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the 2007 AIChE Annual Meeting (Salt Lake City, UT 11/4-9/2007).
