Abstract

Invited for this month's cover is the group of Prof. Martin Pumera from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The cover picture shows pristine underwater coral. This image symbolizes the beauty of a clean environment (coral reef in Indonesia), while the inset outlines the mechanism of the motion of the self-propelled cleaning capsule. Read the full text of the article at 10.1002/cplu.201300011 "Fluorine plays an important role in chemistry as well as in material and liefe science." This and more about the story behind the front cover can be found on page 280.
