abstract = "We propose a novel resource allocation scheme, which can reduce MAP overhead and maximize the throughput in the MIMO-OFDM systems. Message based broadband access systems are needed to minimize the MAP overhead since the excessive MAP overhead causes degradation of system throughput. Increasing the size of resource allocation unit can reduce MAP overhead. However, multiuser diversity gain becomes smaller as the size of resource allocation unit increases. Therefore, we investigate joint optimization between multiuser diversity gain and MAP overhead size. The proposed scheme can reduce the MAP overhead size as well as achieve high throughput.",
