Abstract
The synthesis of polymeric microspheres for toner application based on membrane emulsification method were described. The polymers used are styrene and butylacrylate monomers. Carbon black was fused together into clusters or chains forming aggregates using sonifier and was mixed and compulsorily dispersed by intense ultrasonic emission. Results show that the degree of dispersion of carbon black in monomers is an important factor influencing permeability, electrostatic property, coloration and polymerization.
