Abstract
The photodissociation dynamics of CF3Br was studied using a photofragment ion-imaging technique coupled with a REMPI scheme. Based on the recoil anisotropies and relative quantum yields, the relative contributions of the parallel and perpendicular transitions to the generation of bromine fragments were extracted for the Br and Br* channels. Results show that a nonadiabatic transition between the 3Q0 and 1Q1 states is responsible for the reduction in the anisotropy of Br.
