Abstract

In this paper, we provide the performance analysis of pilot symbol assisted modulation (PSAM) for transmit diversity with space-time block codes (STBC) in time-varying Rayleigh fading channels. For the performance evaluation, the average bit error rate of transmit diversity with STBC is derived when the channel estimation error exists. Using the result, the average BER in time-varying channels is evaluated when the PSAM is employed.
