Abstract
This paper proposes the queueing scheme of multiple priorities traffic control mechanism when Multiclass calls waits in queue under Multiservice Personal Communication System (MPCS). In order to obtain a high total admitted traffic while guaranteeing the protection of Multiclass calls, multiple priority calls are queued. The Queueing scheme, named Head of Line(HOL) and Partial Buffer Sharing(PBS) are studied. Moreover, analytic solution for HOL and PBS is shown forced termination probability and mean waiting time according to threshold value, priority calls. The proposed analytic solution of each scheme is verified by performing the simulation language, SLAM II. We can see that each calls of MPCS is important to decrease the forced termination probability and waiting time for HOL scheme and PBS scheme according to threshold value, queue size, traffic intensity, and mixing ratio of priority traffics. Finally, the proposed queueing model of two schemes can be obtained more correct numerical result and flexibly adapted to the multiclass calls in multiservice PCS.
