Passively mode-locked fiber laser incorporating single-walled carbon nanotube-filled hollow optical fiber

Abstract

We propose a novel in-line saturable absorber by employing a carbon nanotube-filled hollow optical fiber. Robust and efficient all-fiber ultrafast lasers are realized based on this scheme, exhibitng 2.5-nm 3-dB spectral bandwidth at 18.5 MHz.
