In this paper, a systematic approach to the control of Chen's chaotic attractor with uncertainties is presented by using the recently developed modern control theory. Multiple uncertain linear state space models representing the general continuous-time uncertain TS fuzzy model are first discussed. and then the TS fuzzy model of Chen's chaotic attractor is established. Based upon this preliminary study, the modern control theory is then applied to the output stabilizing control of Chen' s chaotic attractor. Finally, a computer simulation example is provided to show-the effectiveness and the feasibility of the developed design method.
