Abstract
A study was performed on optical parametric spectral broadening of picosecond laser pulses in β-barium borate. It was shown that the position of the spectral range and central peak in visible and infrared wavelengths could be change by varying the incident angle of pump pulse with respect to the optical axis of barium borate crystal. In order to demonstrate usefulness of the spectrally broadened pulses as a probe source, the picosecond time-resolved diffuse-reflectance experiment was also performed.
