Abstract

Enhancement of optical efficiency in red/green light in white OLED display were studied with quantum dot (QD) based color-converting layer and long-pass reflectors (LPR) to recycle unnecessary light and down-convert to necessary light. From experimental results, the optical power after passing through the QD film and LPR was enhanced by 51.8% and 20.2% in red/green, respectively. In addition, the color gamut was also increased from 98% to 110% (NTSC x, y ratio) after applying QD film and LPR.
