N2 - The visible upconvcrsion fluorcscencc centered at 548 nm 5F 4 5S2 → 5I8 transition of Ho was observed when a Tni/Ho co-dopcd silica fiber was pumped around the absorption band of 3F4, manifold of Tm +3 . Excitation spectra were measured in the range of 730- 860 nm. The infrared fluorescence around 2.03 μm. the 5I7 → 5I8transition of Ho+3 was also measured to understand the role of energy transfer.
