Abstract

We have developed a new signal detection method of normalization detection instead of the conventional balanced detection in order to suppress the intensity noise effects for high-speed swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT). We have found the normalization detection exhibits superior noise suppression performances and enhance both the sensitivity and dynamic range.
