Abstract
We mathematically and experimentally demonstrate the nonlinearity suppression of optical transmitter in multiband orthogonal frequency division multiplexing based radio over fiber system (multiband OFDM-RoF) by feed-forward technique. The proposed method is a simple technique that can decrease static and dynamic nonlinear transfer characteristics. Nonlinearity of multiband OFDM-RoF has been experimentally evaluated by transmitting nine optical OFDM channels. Experimental results show that nonlinear components from optical transmitter are suppressed and EVM is improved by 7.3% in multiband OFDM signal by using the proposed technique.
