Abstract
This Letter proposes a scheme to select a pair of nodes for cooperative triangulation-based localisation. The authors select the pair of nodes by considering the position dilution of precision (PDOP) and the noise power of the measured distance error. The proposed scheme reduces the localisation error by considering the measured distance errors of the positioning user equipment (UE) and the cooperative UE at the same time in calculating PDOP. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme provides higher positioning accuracy than the conventional triangulation schemes.
