Multimedia communications with large-scale antennas

Abstract

In this paper, we consider a new power allocation algorithm maximizing users quality of experience (QoE) with large-scale antennas. Unlike prior work on adaptive resource allocation to enhance link reliability, we jointly optimize physical layer (massive MIMO) and application layer (H.264/SVC). The proposed algorithm does not require explicit or implicit channel state information from users. We verify the derived formula through numerical simulations.
