Abstract
In this paper, a 3-D zerotree coding method that can reduce the frame memory of a decoder is proposed. The method is applied to 3-D SPIHT (Set Partitioning In Hierarchical Trees). The proposed method does not affect the quality of reconstructed images and can save 70-80% of the frame memory of a decoder.
