Abstract

We report a novel method to precisely manipulate nanowires in air, using a tapered optical fiber tip and thermoplastic ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer. For an application of such nanowire manipulation, we attempted to fabricate logic circuits with two ZnO nanowires aligned in series and parallel, choosing ∼50 μm-long ZnO nanowires for field-effect transistors and load resistors.
