Abstract

Recently, coordinated multiple-point transmission (CoMP) is one of important techniques needed to minimize intercell interference (ICI). In general, the transmission in CoMP - joint processing transmission (CoMP-JPT) can be divided into three different scheme such as global, local and SFN precoding. In this paper, we present a mode selection algorithm for JPT according to the channel quality. In the simulation results, we demonstrate the outperformance of the algorithm compared to the conventional transmission.
