Abstract

Novel sulfonated co-polyimide and poly ethylene glycol diacrylate based semi-interpenetrating polymer network membranes have been prepared for the fuel cell applications. These membranes were characterized by determining, ion exchange capacity, water uptake and proton conductivity. The proton conductivity of the membranes was in the order of 10-1 Scm-1 at 90 °C and generally increased with increasing poly ethylene glycol diacrylate content.
