Abstract
Internal vibrational modes of CsH2PO4 are investigated by measuring the reflectance spectra in the frequency range of 200–4000 cm-1 in the 100–300 K region. From the result of Kramers-Kronig transformations and the factor group analysis, the site symmetry of PO4 is assumed to be Cs in the paraelectric phase and C1 in the ferroelectric phase. This result shows that the proton tunneling plays an important role in the phase transition of CsH2PO4.
