Abstract

A safety information management system (SIMS) is presented for the prevention of industrial accidents. The predictive control model software collects, classifies and detects data on the common major causes of hazards, and suggests the investment priority to improve plant safety. To eliminate human errors, an accident-causation model is used. By combining various processes such as process design, operator training, process safety management and maintenance, the system indicates the problems in the organization and the management systems.
