Abstract
The inclusive model of semileptonic decays B→ℓvX can be appreciably improved by considering the observed dependence on hadronic invariant mass mx, in addition to the lepton energy spectrum that is usually discussed. The parameter freedom is thereby reduced, but the model can successfully reproduce the D and D* enhancements in the mx distribution, while simultaneously fitting the lepton energy distribution. With these improvements the model provides a more reliable basis for determining KM matrix elements from inclusive data.
