Abstract

Stability of cellulase was improved by modification with synthetic copolymers of polyoxyalkylene derivative and maleic anhydride. The modified cellulases under 50% degree of modification showed higher initial activities than did native cellulase. Modified cellulase showed excellent stability of activity against wide pH variation and insoluble solvent. Moreover, cellulase modified with hydrophobic copolymer could be dissolved in these solvents.
