Abstract

The radio over fiber system that transmits different data simultaneously for wireless and wired network is proposed. One sideband carrier of a wireless double sideband signal is remodulated by injection-locking at a Fabry Perot laser diode to generate a wired signal. Because the condition of the injection-locking varies with changes of the input optical power and the injected current of the fabry perot laser diode, the BER performance of the wired signal is measured according to the modulation depth of both the wireless and wired signals. The error free transmission of both the wired signal and the wireless one are achieved after 23-km SSMF.
