Abstract

We propose a simple method for in situ fabrication of monolayer clusters of microparticles by patterning UV-curable polymcric adhesive. Utilizing optofluidic maskless lithography (OFML) method, we selectively polymerized liquid prepolymer infiltrating the close-packed monolayer of microspheres. Clusters of non-spherical polymeric panicles were also fabricated using the same method. Several techniques on packing monolayer in microfluidic channel and fabrication method of clusters are discussed. Various examples of free- floating micro-clusters arc demonstrated.
