Abstract

A new methodology for the evaluation of non-failure operating time (NFOT) in Virtual Test Bed Environment is proposed. The proposed method is featured by the application of signal processing techniques to estimate parameters of reliability at the earliest steps of design based on intercoupling 1/f noise and reliability of power system elements. The proposed approach enables one to directly quantify the reliability of the system by the investigation of the physical properties of the nonequilibrium fluctuation.
