Abstract

This paper aims to simulate and predict the shielding effectiveness of reinforced concrete with steel fiber concentration below the percolation threshold. First, simulation results were obtained for a low steel fiber concentration of 0.01%. As the steel fiber content increases, the fibers connect, lowering the resonance frequency range. This characteristic was used to develop a method for predicting the shielding effectiveness for higher fiber concentration without significantly increasing the computational load. The predicted results were then compared with measurements for a fiber concentration of 0.1%.
