Abstract
Through the technical convergence in the information technology and vehicle industry, there had been increase in interest on the development of the input interaction method in the autonomous vehicle. Here, using Patrick Jordan’s Four Pleasures theory, this research aims to understand the relationship between emotional element of user experience and prioritized input interaction method in the autonomous environment. Through the online survey that was conducted among 78 participants, the study found that first, biometrics is the most preferred input interaction method in autonomous vehicle, second, apart from air gesture and electroencephalography, no significance preference difference exists among age, gender, driving experience or innovation adoption group over the input interaction method. Lastly, physiological pleasure plays the most significant role on the prioritization over the input interaction method in the autonomous vehicle.
