Abstract

This study performs dynamic analysis of tunnels in multi-layered half planes in the frequency domain by using the coupled finite element and boundary element methods. To evaluate the dynamic fundamental solutions, the semi-analytical approach to reduce the range of wavenumber integration is adopted within the boundary element framework. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the efficiency of the presented method and effects of layered media.
