Abstract
The diffusion coefficient of oxygen in β-Ti has been measured by the molten flux method in the temperature region from 1273 to 1473 K. The concentration profile of oxygen in titanium rod sample is strongly dependent not only on the temperature but also on the interfacial oxygen concentration. We found a good correspondence between measured and calculated results, which was evaluated by coupling the binary regular solution model and atomic theory of diffusion.
