Abstract
A bulk material that has an icosahedral phase distributed in a solid solution was fabricated through warm processing using mechanically alloyed powders. The bulk material consists of nanosized grains after annealing treatment. The two phase material has a value of microhardness around 6.2 GPa exhibiting much more ductile characteristics than the single I-phase sample.
