Abstract
TCR of type slag was investigated in order to optimize slag composition in bosh region by measuring viscosity. The TCR was also compared with TLQ in order to predict the relationship between two temperatures. The thermodynamic approach based on experimental results was carried out in order to predict the relationship between slag components and TCR. It was observed that the TCR of relatively basic blast furnace (BF) slags could be predicted by employing the thermodynamic concept based on the acidity of dicalcium silicates.
