Abstract

We introduce a new microfluidic method for continuous size separation of microparticles. This method utilizes inertial lift force and momentum change induced inertial force generated in a multi-orifice microchannel. Particle size separation was effectively achieved in the specific range of the channel Reynolds number (Rec).
