N2 - The experimental study was conducted to observe the convective heat transfer on a flat surface in the supersonic cross-flow when the secondary flow was ejected into the main flow through the circular hole. Additionally, the oil flow test was conducted to visualize the surface flow pattern and the obtained results were compared to the results for the cylindrical body in the same freestream condition. This comparison was planned based on the similarity of flow phenomena around a secondary jet and a cylinder as a protruding body to the supersonic cross-flow. From the oil streak pattern results, the similar flow separation phenomena were observed and the overall convective heat transfer was promoted around these perturbed flow regions.
