Comparison of dust detection by using reflected solar bands and thermal bands

Abstract

Dust detection from solar and thermal bands is compared to investigate the performance of each algorithm. Three different algorithms show reasonable consistency to detect dust layer. The consistency increases with aerosol optical depth (AOD).
