Abstract

In this paper, we present two kinds of fan beam antennas for linear polarization (LP) and circular polarization (CP) that are designed and fabricated on new packaging material, liquid crystal polymer substrate (LCP) for applying low cost V-band systems. LP array designs are focused on beam tilting for 0 and 30 degree and CP arrays are proposed to overcome severe fading in multi-path environment. By using numerical and experimental analysis, it is found that the proposed fan beam array antennas can be good candidates for low cost 60 GHz systems.
