Abstract

Formation of σ,η3-allyl rhodium complexes from vinylcyclopropanes and Rh(I), its application to CH bond cleavage of 8-quinolinecarbaldehyde, and generation of alkyl-substituted η3-allyl rhodium complexes are demonstrated. Ligand-promoted reductive eliminations of alkyl-substituted η3-allyl rhodium complexes with P(OMe)3 produce β,γ-unsaturated ketones.
