Abstract
A round corner rectangular wide slot antenna has been proposed with novel feeding geometry to have better wideband characteristics than a normal rectangular wide slot antenna. The input impedances of the slots for various geometries were calculated and the antenna having the best result was fabricated for verification. The measured bandwidth of the antenna is almost two octaves (2.08 GHz to 8.25 GHz) with VSWR<2.
