Abstract

The enhanced applicator for superficial hyperthermia system is presented. The applicator is composed with branched dipole array to heat the human skin region uniformly and effectively. The branched dipole element is designed to be operated at 433 MHz and has branched arm and matching structure. Two types of the 4 × 4 array for applicator are demonstrated on human body model and the enhanced uniformity of SAR and temperature distribution is shown in lattice array type. The temperature distribution by the lattice array is measured on the solid human phantom and compared with simulation.
