Abstract

The antioxidant activity of Litsea cubeba was studied in terms of three different assay systems: DPPH assay, peroxidase/guaiacol assay, and TBA test. The L. cubeba methanol extract and its fractions showed remarkable antioxidant activity in comparison with α-tocopherol and ascorbic acid.
