Abstract
In this paper, we proposed a handover prediction technique specialized for next-generation navigator. The proposed technique uses path-searching information of navigator to predict the best handover cell and location. And to reduce redundant data sending, we defined reporting point set of path information and the prediction trigger condition. In the performance simulation, the proposed technique show lower rate of ping-pong handover than the UMTS standard mobility technique.
